The Royal College of Music Museum

Since joining the Royal College of Music in 2017, I have curated a number of digital exhibitions. These include a widely-acclaimed exhibition on Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and his involvement in the civil rights movement. This has been added to several university syllabuses internationally, as well as serving as a source for a BBC documentary.

In 2017 I curated an exhibition entitled ‘Opera in the East End’. This was shown at Queen Mary, University of London. The exhibition used material from the University archive in order to illustrate the history of operatic performance at The People’s Palace in Mile End.

Sir Charles Santley: A Victorian Celebrity

In 2016 I curated an exhibition based on my research into the life of a Victorian opera singer. Sir Charles Santley: A Victorian Celebrity was held at Liverpool Central Library. I blogged extensively about this on the exhibition website. The exhibition attracted media coverage, including a major feature in the Liverpool Echo.
